Neon tetras are a natural food for angels in the wild. The general rule is if a smaller fish can fit into the larger fish's mouth, it will get eaten. You could try introducing the neons and angels into the tank together as babies, but even if they grow up together, it still might happen, and this would be true for any smaller fish, not just the neons.
I have bought my Angels while they were still small and they grew up with my Neons. They have never bothered my Neons. But if Angelfish are raised only with other Angelfish or with fish of their size, they may well eat smaller fish like Neons once they're put into a tank with Neons.
cuz im getting new fish soon..
maybe would try baby angelfish and the tetras
my mum dropped 2 tiger barb with my previous angel..
told her it wun work yet she dropped it in..
in the end 2 angels died
whats worst the 2 angels left are injured and sick white spot i guess..
then suddenly juz died off medicine dun even work -.-
yeah, it was a bad idea, tiger barbs are notorious fin nippers, shouldn't have kept them with angels. never keep them with goldfish or guppies, if u want to keep them, keep 6 of them in a tank, it will reduce their fin nipping habit.
