I can't really see it but at least you get a bump

Is it the whitish patch that looks like it's on the darkest leaf? Is it maybe an egg mass laid by your ramshorns?

Ya the white patch on the leaf, it moves so it's not eggs

If it moves I'd say baby snail I had baby pond snails that were mostly clear in my tank. The devil to find and squish.

It moves on its own? Is it as flat as it looks in the picture?

AFAIK it's a good sign that your water is clean

Why's it bad if more show up?
They get really unsightly in large numbers. Imagine 100-200 of those on the walls of the aquarium. Long as you don't over feed it shouldn't come to that

Oh ok, ya I agree with that, any type of fish eat them?

All of them will, you just gotta crush it first. But no not really. Unless you have a tank that can support clown loaches or something. A featherfin squeaker probably would as well since they eat pond and ramshorns, but that is also a fish that gets pretty large.

How big is it? I witnessed a ghost shrimp peel a small one off the glass and eat it.

Huh. Didn't think a ghost shrimp would bother. Dwarf cpo might, they eat small ramshorns sometimes I've heard.

Really? I have never heard that before. I have kept three different species of dwarf crayfish and I can't imagine them eating snails! But I have never had invasive snails with them either....I just can't picture it!!

wow! interesting! thanks for sharing that.

Well...either way, they will be no help CONTROLLING the snail population.....they may eat a couple, but they won't be of any assistance getting rid of them. (unless the population doesn't grow)
