My betta's fins are a bit ragged. He may have bit them himself. I think he has stopped, and it looks like his fins are beginning to heal. I know it's not fin rot. I have experience with that. I have been using Stressguard by Seachem to help the healing process. Does anyone know if it's ok to use this on a long term basis?

I don't like using Bettafix for a long period of time, and I made the mistake of using aquarium salt continuously with my last betta. The salt became useless after a while; I didn't know that the more you use it, the less effect it is. I change his water every 2 days, so I add the Stressguard when I change his water.

    I would appreciate some advice!

Yeah, think of it like lotion for people.
