I don't know a lot about those two fish but i know both are large and predatory and need a 150 Gallon minimum(Though bigger is better).
Edit: Read Alligator Gar get 6 feet so they are a no go in almost any home Aquarium.

Zero, unfortunately.
Some species of snakehead can reach over 3 feet in length and none are smaller than 10 inches; much too large for a 37 gallon. If you look up pictures of alligator gar, you'll see that they get absolutely massive.

Snakehead get far too large for such a small tank so the answer is zero.
Also please check your local and state laws about this species. It is banned in many areas of the US as well as many other countries.

Fellas as much as i don't plan to offer my advice to the poster, their are actually snakeheads suitable for a 48" 37g tank.

Any of the following would fit.

Channa gachua

Channa bleheri

Channa bankanensis

I totally agree, my post wasn't directed at you more at the guys saying all snakeheads get too large.

When anyone says snakehead people often think of the red snakehead.

Btw this wasn't advice for the poster, they shouldn't keep any species of snakehead, not unless he sorts his dat tank out and starts to take advice seriously.

We weren't saying all Snakeheads get huge but most do, The species you said would work in that tank but only by themselves.
