Question about ken's fish

Is www.kensfish.com a trustworthy site, I've seen a couple people talk about it a couple times and I thought I check it and I literally cannot believe the prices. Are they legit? Or is it a scam website?

 

Yes. I have had good luck with them - the only goofed once and i let it slide (sent an open bottle of prime). They have good prices esp with their driftwood. Adding coralbandit who I know uses them in case he wishes to comment.

One thing to understand is they are a small operation so if you need assistance expect a slow response.

 

oh wow every thing is so cheap there! i wanted to get an air pump and drift wood from my lfs but it was super expensive but might get it here now!

I am so pumped, I can get all the equipment (Minus the tank) for 20 bucks, where at petsmart/petco I'd get it for 40

I have never paid shipping so can't say .
I know many may say it is low quality food if you understand how to rate food but the results of my breeding and using Kens for the last 7 years speak for themselves IMO.
I once brought a bunch of HUGE male rams to my LFS and they said " holy ---- what are you feeding them ",
and I replied the worst food in the world according to some ,and they said clearly not ...

How quality is their food? Is it better than other brands?

In the past I've paid $4 to $9 USD for shipping - it varied based on my total (was always under $50).

I've been super happy with their food - started using some of it based on recommendations from coralbandit. Nearly all of my fish love Ken's premium growth meal, including the picky ones (*cough* gudgeons *cough*). It's regularly in my mix now. I've also bought golden pearls and other prepared fry foods from Ken's, for cheaper than I've found elsewhere. I've only bought small quantities though.

 

Just made my first trip there the other day. That place is awesome! I can't speak to shipping, I'm local so I bought in person.

 

Ken's is one of my favorite places to order from. Their prices beat Amazon most of the time, and even trying to do some frozen food shipment to save some cash. I do find it takes a while for them to "ship" something... (just to actually ship it) but once it does its not bad... but we are talking <1 week until they actually ship it. Their shipping isn't bad really, but hit $50 worth of stuff is easy in this hobby.

It's easy to find $50 worth of stuff, but it's hard to want to fork up the cash lol.

Wow... well, they do keep prices low.. I didn't mind too much considering the cost savings honestly.
