Question About Heater And Aquarium Water.

I’m wondering if it’s normal for a heater to fluctuate like .2 or .3 degrees every once in awhile. I have the heater right where the outtake water from the filter comes out so it can distribute heat evenly. Sometimes when I test the water by the heater with a digital thermometer it will say 80f but when I test the other side of my ten gallon opposite side of my heater it will read around 79.7, 79.8. Is this fairly normal and will it cause any stress on my fish?

That is pretty good. Some heaters will go as far as 2° either way.
