Question about guppy breeding and coloration.

I'm working on breeding a Tequila Sunrise line with a Crowned Red ThaI Dragon. I recently found out that males carry the moscow gene so you need to breed a male moscow to get the moscow look in your fry. I didn't know moscows worked that way as most places I looked into it claimed the female would throw a varied mix, with no mention of the father carrying the moscow color.

My question is in regards to the mix I am working with, does anyone know what they will throw?

I have Tequila Sunrise males, it's very difficult to find females currently.
Ordering a number of Crowned Red TaI Dragon females to breed with them.

Can anyone confirm what kind of genes the TSM and CRF will produce? Male dominant coloration etc?

Moscow is a y-linked gene, so if you breed a moscow male to a non-moscow female you will get moscow sons and non-moscow daughters As for the rest of the traits, can't really say, you're going to get a wide variety of fish whenever you mix strains so different.

Thank you, Ken

Moscow is a y-linked gene, so if you breed a moscow male to a non-moscow female you will get moscow sons and non-moscow daughters As for the rest of the traits, can't really say, you're going to get a wide variety of fish whenever you mix strains so different.

It's like how cat colors are linked to the X gene

I have four male tequila sunrise, hoping to use two for breeding. Sadly couldn't find females.
I have one male albino and eight females coming.

Tonight I'll know for sure what I'm getting in crown dragons:

1-4 males and 3-6 females.

Trying to work out the best combination for the fry I hope to raise.

You also have to take into account any recessive genes the parents might have that you're not aware of. You may get some surprises lol

I had a guinea pig once named Clyde. Turns out the pet store was wrong about it being a boy, because Clyde had 5 babies. She was a black and white smooth-coated piggie, and was in a cage with several smooth-coated males. 4 babies were white with black or shades of brown. One was long-haired and was calico!
