question about cichlids: Rock Kribensis Cichlids??!!

Hello,

I have just added a tank of cichlids to my collection of aquariums of tropicals.
The fry of these little guys were given to me a few month ago and the cichlids have now grown to about 3/4". The person who gave them to me told me they were "Rock Kiribinis Cichlids". I have looked online and in books, but was unable to find anything even close to that name. I would really like to learn more about my new little friends, but don't really know where else to look.
does anyone out there know of these cichlids or something that is "spelled similarly"!!??
I would appreciate the help.

Try Kribensis, or just Krib.

They are dwarf cichlids too if they are kribs, one of the peacfullest cichlids alive, only get around 2-3" too I believe.

Kirbs get 4 inches

I think it might also depend on the type.

Atm, most Kribs easily get to 3" when mature, some even bigger.

If your fish are truly "rock kribs", they are african cichlids from Lake Victoria. Any fish from Lake Victoria are really prized because so many species are extinct from the lake, and are only kept going in the hobby. Great score!
