So I caved in and bought a 10 gallon tank with some trimmings at the LFS (PetSmart). $34.99 got me lights, a filter and a tank...I had to buy a small air pump and air stone. I currently have a heater that I took from the old tank and using it in the new tank but it's made for up to 55 gallons, please tell me if this is not a good thing.
So my fiancee says I should put the QT tank upstairs in the spare bedroom. I wasn't sure about it because it can get so hot up there but I did it anyways. I cleaned my tank and took about 4 gallons out to use at the QT. Took that up the stairs and sat it down on the carpet.
I couldn't reach the plug behind the dresser so I moved the dresser and the bed. Because of my God like muscles that even make the mightiest of all Gods, Zeus, hang his head in shame, the bed knocked my bucket of water into the carpet. Major fail. So I cleaned up and took the QT tank down stairs and sat it on a broken microwave. I siphoned more water, just only 1 gallon and placed it in the tank. The rest of the water was all from the sink.
So I have a big heater made for a 55 gallon in a 10 gallon tank, no temperature sticker, water in a room and ready to put a fish in a body bag.
But I got a QT tank, so Ken can't say "I told you so."
