Putting yoyo loaches with golden zebra loaches

Quite some time ago I bought 2 juvenile golden zebra loaches from petco and they have since been my favorite fish I wanted to put more with them but no lfs had them I was about to just online order some yoyo loaches because they look identical (not fully grown) as golden zebra loaches but I went into petsmart which I never do because how many ich fish I got there but surprisingly they had 4 juvenile yo-yos that I bought and for now I’m holding them in my 10 gallon with plenty of hide outs I’m keeping them there temporarily because they could be potential snacks for my pictus cat though he never bothers my grown zebra loach they actually sleep together but my main concern is if the two mature zebras would pick on the 4 yo-yos due to their smaller size

I would move them into my 40 gallon once they grow a bit more

As long as plenty of structure is provided for hiding & retreats, likely no problem adding the new YoYos.
As the YoYos mature they will be able to hold their own against most aquarium fish, including tough ones like African Cichlids.

They will likely get along - my passive loaches get along (there are more aggressive boita that you need to avoid). Btw if you want more gold zebra you can ask the manager at petco to order them - that's what i did several times. I keep zebra loach, gold zebra and clown loaches together (i also have kuhli but they are anti-social ).

I've read somewhere that gold zebra can be a bit more playful than yoyo but i think they are pretty similar.
