I have down 3 water changes since feb 18,2012 and wanted to get some fee back of what u think I could do to improve, also wanted to know when you think my tank will be reay to add ghost shrimp, snails, livebearers such as guppies and small neons what would work bst for thse fish and invertbers.

Hello Chris and Welcome to Fish Lore!

Once your tank has cycled, meaning you have 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites and under 20 Nitrates, then you can add a few fish, 2 or 3, at a time. According to your Aquarium Profile Information you are aware of the Aquarium Nitrogen Cycle <--link underlined in blue.

It may take a month to 6 weeks to cycle, it simply depends on how you are cycling as to how much time it may take. No one can really pin point the amount of time to cycle.

I hope you enjoy the site!

Ken

Chris,

I have merged three of your threads all dealing with how long it will take before you can add fish. I think it will be less confusing to other members.

Thanks!

Have you tested your tap water? What is the pH of it? What are the test results of your tank water? How are you trying to cycle the tank, what method are you using? Lots of questions come to mind when I look at your question of when you can add fish.
