Push button on lights trouble

    So i got a used 55 gallon tank and the button on the lights will not push in. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it. thank you :;swls

    Faulty switch i took the switch out and bypassed it i am just going to have to make something so i dont have to unpug it every time i want to turn it out

    Just plug it into a timer.....you won't need the switch!

    Hardware stores will carry replacement switches. You can pull the light apart and install a new switch. You may have to drill a new hole in the light housing, or expand the old one, but it can be done.

    yup hardware stores can certainly help, or you could wire a Timer in to the line and have it control the circuit.

    I have a light that's the same way - I put it (5 lights total) on a remote controlled power strip. I LOVE it cause I can turn the lights off from my bed.

    If your tanks are not centralized like that, this is a better option
