Purple Stylo Issues

So in my other update post I showed how all of my montI and birdsnest frags are doing great in the tank...I have however, run into a slight issue with my purple tipped stylopora...

Initially it looked like this after adjusting to the tank
But the past few days I've noticed less and less polyp extension and recently it looked like this
My parameters are calc is between 460 and 480....alk is 10.4 (a little low)....and mg is at least 1600

I got my water tested about a week ago and phosphates were at zero and nitrates between 5 and 10....

I moved the frag a bit lower as I thought it may be a lightning issue....any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

Yea it does look bleached out. Give it some time at the lower light and see if it improves. Make sure not to mess with it too much so it can settle into it's new spot.

I've read that increasing feeding slightly may improve coloration and recovery speed....is this something worth trying?

I wouldn't. With increased feeding comes increased water pollution. I'd focus on keeping your parameters in check.

Like they say, nothing good in reefing happens fast. Just give it some clean water and time.

Isn't it the best feeling when you manage to bring them back from the brink? I semi-regularly grab up $5 damaged frags from my lfs for the sense of accomplishment I get if I manage to get them looking nice again.
