Purple Bta Bubbling But Not Bubbling?

So I have this Purple Tip BTA that is about 7" or 8" in diameter. It lost its bubbles after day one in my tank but I read that when a BTA loses its bubbles it will extend it arms. Well when mine lost its bubbles its arms stayed short (only about 1"-1.5" long)
Is it normal to keep its short tentacles, even after losing its bubbles?
I also bought a green snowflake BTA that's about 1.5" in diameter today for $20(AUD). Its got a purple foot and it too has lost it bubbles since I got it this morning.

If anyone can tell me if its ok to have no bubbles and still have short arms that would be great.

Thanks for any input.

Hopefully it's only adjusting to it's new environment. How long has the tank been running now? BTA's do like a well established tank. Calling on our resident nem expert for you Brayden... grantm91

Thanks the tank was started on 23rd of August.
I have a larger purple tip BTA in the same tank that is doing just fine. Opening heaps and eats etc. this new one has only been in the tank 13 hours though so it's still settling in

Wait that was in the wrong thread. Yes the tank was started 23rd August and the nem is fine. The purple BTA is good it's just the brand new snowflake I'm worried about

Oh, ok, well I hope you get the snowflake looking good soon. Hopefully it's just settling in.

If you already have a BTA in there which is happy, I wouldn’t be too worried, the main thing you need to be sure of now is that its stuck to the rock, if its wandering you need to keep a eye on it.
f8cf53e8c1d2a323b85c1be7c7146c75.jpg a sample of how appearance can vary, the big RBTA you see has been absolutely terrorized by a clown which I’ve re-homed. The main 3 things for me are, bleaching and health of the foot on purchase, make sure there are no tares, or bleaching, although they can be brought back from a point. Next is making sure its happy and locked into a spot, check on it as much as possible in the first month. Then finally its responsiveness to feeding, if it eats and its locked in your winning. I get you though, the appearance can be worrying from time to time.
