So I brought a glofish and I acclimated him and all. Put him in the tank and he was struggling. Sinked to the bottom where he stayed until I saw him. I took him out at quarantine him. Can he be saved. I woke up this morning and he is still alive. It's been about 12 hours in quarantine. I threw in some aquarium salt in the tank and some stress coat. Any idea what I should do? Or medicine I can use?

Can you post a picture? Is he eating?

Personally, what I would do, since it sounds like he's so new, I would take him back to the store and see if you can get a replacement.

I am currently not home. So no picture. Returning him and replacing him was my second option. But if I could save him that be a good feeling for me. I save a fish before from death. But this one seems to be struggling. And he doesn't eat. Just swims in the tank from time to time. Not really active. Kind of swims, stops and floats sideways a bit. And swims and again floats sideways.

Well, I suppose I'm not really knowledgeable about saving fish, then. Like I said, I personally would return him, but I understand why you wouldn't want to.

    Does he appear bloated?

no he is not. just not swimming. but when i return home ill see if i return him or not. i have 14 guarantee.

  10. PuffPuffWell Known MemberMember

no, they looks kind of jagged edged. i wish i had a photo but i dont
  11. Betta Splendid 1Well Known MemberMember

    What looks jagged edged?
  12. BornThisWayBettasFishlore VIPMember

I think he means the fins look "jagged edge", right?
  13. PuffPuffWell Known MemberMember

yeah, the fins look like they were cut up. looks jagged
  14. Betta Splendid 1Well Known MemberMember

Are there notches that looked cut up and not natural?
  15. PuffPuffWell Known MemberMember

    they look cut up.

i healed a glofish before but nothing like this one. this one seems to be okay once in a while and then it just gives up and sinks to the bottom

If you was to tap on the tank or put your hand near the fish in a fast motion does it swim away or have a reaction.
  17. PuffPuffWell Known MemberMember

if i tap it doesnt move, if i put hand near him he does swim away and then stops and just floats. i can touch him and when i do he seems to just float sideways still breathing.
