Protruding white spot on my White Diamond discus?

So I have my 75 gal. Tank set up and I ordered discus from two different vendors bc there was a sale. First shipment was awful, everything came in covered in ick and my white diamond discus had a fungal infection as well. After three weeks of fighting it and trying desperately to get my fish better, I’ve cleared the ick.

The white diamond got a separate treatment (different tank) to be treated for the fungal infection and ick (I used FW salt as well as medicine in my hospital tank). I believe he had finrot and THAT has cleared up...but now he has this white bump on his tail and it’s protruding out and I’m not sure what to make of it? The bump didn’t respond to fungal infection treatments or parasite treatments and it seems to be getting bigger. It’s only on his tail.

He’s still eating and seems fine for the most part (occasional rapid darting back and forth or trying to rub up on plants (I haven’t put ornaments in bc everything had ick and I didn’t want them scratching on anything harder than a live plant). I’m at a complete loss. Does anyone know what this might be? It’s hard to tell in the picture but it isn’t flat to his fin, it protrudes a good centimeter or so out so I don’t think that it’s just a lil spot

What's the temperature of the tank?
I'm not sure if it's ich or a fungal/bacterial problem. If your temp is above 29 C, then I think it would be a fungal/bacterial in that case quarantine and apply general tonic. Goodluck

It might simply be a damaged fin ray w/ fungus attached. In that case, clean water, patience & time should heal it up.
Worst case scenario, small Lymphocystis outbreak. Its a non lethal fish virus. As the Discus recovers, his immune system might suppress the virus & the little tumor might disappear.

Are you sure that he is Ich free? There are other spots on his fins besides the large one. Even after you’ve eradicated Ich it can leave the fish prone to infections where it was present. Assuming there is no Ich present I think the best thing to do is give him ultra clean warm water, good quality food and an environment that is as stress free as possible and see if his condition improves. If not you may have to treat him but I’d give him a break from the meds for now.

Yeah everything in the tank is ick free, the white spots on his fins are more of..splotches? Soft around the edges it looks like and not like the tiny polka dots of ick. I’m gonna do a 50% water change and put carbon filters back in to try and give the whole tank a break. I’m just worried because I’ve never seen anything like this (I’m an aquatics specialist at a pet store and half of my job is treating/diagnosing sick fish when they come in as surrenders or shipments) and it hasn’t responded to any treatments.

(I asked the vendor about it bc the discus arrived with fin rot and these spots but they just put the blame on me (they also said it was my fault everything had ick even though they arrived with it) so I’m just really trying to get everything to be healthy at the same time
