20 Gallon Tank Proper lighting for a mixed reef tank.

Hello I'm new to this forum and hobby of saltwater tanks. I have been around them for a long time but this is the first time that I have been left on my own with one. My dad has given me the lighting arrangements that he puts on his red sea led light but I'm not sure if he knew what he was doing or what the best lighting for a mixed reef tank would be. I put a picture of my current lighting down below. What would change based on experience?

Looks about right. I ususally like putting in a little of the red and green 1-3% so the tank looks better but it doesn't do anything for the corals.

I have heard that red makes the algae grow faster. Do you know if that's true? Or should suck a small amount such as 3% not be a big problem?

That is actually true. Some types of algae can get energy from red light. I've never seen someone who had a problem using it on the 1-3% range.

It's 100% aesthetic. Red and green lights on a reef only work for your enjoyment. I personally like it. I think it gives a little bit of balance to the overwhelming blues, both in pictures and in person.

Okay I'll give it a trial run and see if it creates any side effects! I have a smaller 20 gallon tank.
