Is prime supposed to smell like death? I just recently changed from a top fin dechlor to prime, is this normal?

It doesn't smell good but it's GREAT stuff!!!

Part of it is because it's very concentrated, I have also used the Kent dechlorinator which is also a highly concentrated solution and had a similar odor to it.

I disagree. It smells like maple syrup. Prime is awesome; Prime is the best. Everyone should have Prime in their fish cabinet.
(My inside joke inspired by @AJE’s thread).

I kept fish last in like 2010, and when I started again this year, I still had my old bottle of Prime. It smelled pretty bad like I remember it, but it still worked.
So then it ran out and I got a new bottle with the new label, and it smells much better. Still doesn't smell good, but it smells muuuuch better
