Pregnant Platy white spot yesterday

Last night, we noticed our Pregnant Red Wag had the white spot of impending birth. Today that white spot is gone. No fry, still plump. I have two fry traps in the tank, and 6 DIY Java Moss Pom Poms. My tank is 55-75 gallons(not sure. Got it second hand. Seems bigger than the 55s in the store but smaller than the 75s) Have 2 female dalmation mollies, one Female Silver Lyretail Molly, 4 female platys total(MM, Sunburst, red wag and....?) whom I think are all pregnant and that's the only reason I think they're all females, we just got them from the big box Petstore last week. And 3 gold fish ranging in age/size from very small to small.

Does that happen sometimes? The white dot goes away even though she doesn't give birth? Did the other fish get them? Or did I just imagine the white spot. She is being antisocial. She's been hovering around the pom poms or in back corners.

I have an extra 30 gallon tank in my basement that hasn't been used in years. Should I get it set up as a fry tank? It won't be cycled by the time she has the babies, if she hasn't yet had them. I suppose I could take 25-20 gallons of the big tanks water and achieve cycle that way, maybe. I've never been a fy mom before. Not sure what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help.

taking the water won't cycle the tank. the bacteria live on surfaces, in the filter media, not in the water itself.

if shes still plump, she either didnt have any or she isn't done. my red wag momma took 24 hours to finish having all hers. I keep a fry tank, iput the momma in it when she is getting close. then when she is back to normal size, I move her. make sure the bottom has places for the babies to hide for a few days. mine seem to come out around day 3 and are bigger and free swimming at a week old.

also, the goldfish are cold water fish and will not do well in the warm water with the other fish. they are dirty as are the mollies, who get very large for their starting size lol.

Honestly the gold fish are feeders for the turtle who is in the outdoor pond right now. What I was asking was, the white spot that was there and prominent last night is now not there, or very hard to tell if it's there. Is that common? Does that happen sometimes? Or does it absolutely mean she gave birth and the fry were all gobbled up?

I take it back. I've seen one fry and I don't know where it went, but I saw it. It's daytime. Is she giving birth now or is that the only fry that survived?
Oh, golly. Such a worried grandma.

hard to tell- my platy fry sink down into the substrate for a day or two, then come out and swim a bit...then hide again. at a week, they no longer go hide in the substrate I have all my fry in a separate tank- when a momma hits 27 days in her pregnancy, I move her to the nursery tank. once I notice shes all leaned back out, I move her back to the main tank

Thanks. I'm really just going to let things play out naturally this time. Not just for financial reasons but for space and time reasons as well. Learn as much as I can. Someone definitely gave birth, but I can't tell who because they all still look pregnant.
