I have 25 neon tetras in a 50 gallon tank, and recently (as in the past 24 hours) one has swollen up to get really big and i’m wondering if it’s pregnant. If so, what should I do to successfully allow it to lay its eggs? Transfer it to a darker environment?

Can you tell by the pics which it is and how to care for it?
It needs to be fasted to see if the bloat will go down, however from the size of the stomach (how far it is protruding) it may be eggbound which is more serious than bloating as I do not know a way to release the eggs in a neon (it is not the same process as with bettas), you can try an epsom salt bath to try and get the eggs to be passed or absorbed (the amount is 1 tablespoon -tbsp- per gallon of water, with a bath of 15-30 minutes depending on how the fish reacts, if the fish shows signs of stress remove immediately back to unsalted water).
