Pregnant Mollies Won't Give Birth

I have three female mollies, my first gave birth back in November but we weren't able to save any of the babies. She has not gotten pregnant since even though she has been mating with the male quite a lot. I got two more females which were both pregnant when I bought them on Feb 1st, of course I don't know how far along they were but they were both extreamly boxy and looked very ready, I looked for all the signs and read all about how and when to tell when they go into labor. One of the females looked like she was going into labor on the 12th so I put her in a breeder box, and we had babies on Feb 14th! I was expecting the other female to give birth sometime shortly after since she looked about ready as well but I did not put her in a breeder box since she was more stressed out. It is now March 17 and she has still not given birth, I'm not sure how long they are supposed to be pregnant for before they give birth, I read 30 days and if that's true it's been far longer then that... and our Mollie who gave birth on the 14th is also extreamly pregnant and boxy and looks like she's going to explode with babies, but is also not giving birth again either. I am not sure what is going on, why they are not giving birth, or how long it's actually supposed to take. They look very uncomfortable and barely eat, or want to overeat, I feel a little lost and I'm worried for them. Can anyone explain this to me or have any ideas what might be happening? I know they give live birth, but does the male have to have some kind of interaction with them to fertilize the babies before they are born? Cause I think our male is not doing his job. I got another male but he won't go near the two pregnant females either only the female who has not been able to get pregnant since November. Sorry if this is confusing. Please help!!!!!

WELCOME to Fishlore!!!

Can you post a pic , what size tank?

Most live bearers have a gestation of 4 weeks but some have gone to 6

What is their tank like? Sometimes livebearers will hold fry because they aren't feeling safe/comfortable in their environment. How long has the tank been set up and what are the water parameters (temp, pH, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates etc). A healthy pregnant molly should be eating all the time except maybe while they are giving birth. Also, mollies should have a new batch of fry every month or so, provided they are happy and healthy. They will store sperm so even if they breed only once they can have multiple batches from that once time.

Try posting pics of the tank and the female mollies. Maybe we can find out what's wrong after seeing them

The tank has been set up since October, I am not sure of all the levels, but our temperature is always around 82

This is their tank

I have the two since feb 1st, and they were both very much pregnant when I got them, one had her babies on the 14th, and she is now pregnant again and she looks like she is ready and her body looks like it's about to pop, I'm sure it should be around time for her to give birth again but I'm worried because the other female won't give birth still even after all his time. The one who hasn't had her babies at all has been pregnant in my possion since feb 1st I don't know how long she was pregnant before that but this seems too long since she was very pregnant before I even got her.

My guess is be patient. You can try different websites but they might say the same thing. Closely supervise them, what are your parameters? Maybe somethings not the correct in your levels.

I have a 20 gallon long with 5 female and 3 male balloon belly mollies. 2 of the females and 1 of the males are over a year old and the remaining 3 females/ 2 males are offspring from May 2016 (only batch of babies born). The males are all very active with the females. 2 of the female youngsters look like they are pregnant but don't "act" pregnant.
All my parameters are in good shape
80 degrees
Nitrate/ Nitrite - 0
ph - 6.8 - 7.2 (depending on water changes and filter cleaning)
I use Prime for the ammonia and chlorine control
I do water changes 2x per month and filter cleaning 1x per month

They have 3 swordtail, 6 neon tetras, and 2 green cory cats as tank mates. One of the female swordtails has had 3 batches of babies since my mollies one and only batch.

They just don't seem interested in having their babies!

You have stocking problems , with mollies there are a high chance of them eating their fry. Also balloon mollies due to their genetic defect which cause their spine to benf or shorten looks pregnant since all their body parts are squished together(only the spine is shorten so your basically creating a smaller space for the same amount of content) , Balloon mollies are sadly one of the neglects of the hobby
