Pregnant Mickey Mouse platy

I bought 5 platys yesterday and from what I have read. It seems like I got 4 males and one female. The female looks very pregnant and I can see little eyes in her belly. I'm wondering how close she may be to giving birth???

I've never dealt with platy birth, but a picture would help others figure out how far along she is.

I'd rehome her, your ratio of males to females is really bad. The males will stress her out to much and she could die of it. What size tank?

I'm worried now. I want to attach a picture but I don't know how to. I'm using my iPhone. It doesn't give me that option.

If you can see eyes she is pretty close to giving birth. For livebearears its recommended to have 2females per male otherwise the malea can mate the female until she dies

The tank is 10 gallons.

That tank is to small for five platies, three max and that's without any other fish. Are you using the app?

It would of been nice for petsmart to let you know these things before they randomly pick out 5 fish for you to take home

I will have to separate them then.

I have 3 Female Mickey Mouse Platys.
On December 1, 2017 I found some fry in my tank, no other since then.
Not too sure which was the one that gave birth, because all 3 females looked bigger than they were when I got them a month before along with my 1 male (November 10).
Right now, I’ve noticed that 2 of the 3 females looks pregnant. Not too sure if they’re ready or not, but I have seen pictures/videos where Platys have given birth around the same size as mines.
I’m pretty sure they were similar to this size on December 1. I’ve also heard & seen pictures/videos where their belly’s are clearly squared which I’ve heard is a sign, but I’m pretty sure mines don’t look squared.
On December 1 when my one fry was born (and before), all of my Platys had no square belly. I temporarily separated the 2 into a breeder tank to take pictures, will be transferring them into their own tanks because I actually want to get the chance to see them deliver, or at least have survivors.
Here are some pictures.

Looks like they'll be ready in the next week or so. I wouldn't keep them in the breeding box though, as it can be stressful to them.

So you definitely think they're pregnant, possibly in the middle to end of their pregnancy?

And I have put them both back into their tank after I kept an eye on them for about 10 hours of no delivery. I've heard that Platys practically give birth for life, especially if they're housed with a male (I have a male), so I'm sure I'll see more frys in the future if this batch gets eaten. I will be buying a bunch of plants sometime next week to fill the tank, maybe some floating ones as well. I do have some artificial plants that I have floating (You can see them in the pictures sort of), but they're definitely not going to be a safe place for fry to hide since my 4 Platys goes in there every night after I turn their lights off, plus the 1 fry I did find on Dec 1st was swimming on the bottom.

Do you have any plant recommendations that are safe for Platys, their Fry. Also Cory Catfishes & Bristlenose Pleco? Hopefully ones that are easy to care for? I live in Hawaii, so some things are limited compared to the mainland, but I do have Petcos & Petsmarts near me, along with a bunch of local pet stores, so crossing fingers I can find more of a variety.

Hornwort, anacharis, and frogbit make great surface and everywhere else cover for fry, ancharis and hornwort do better left free floating but you can anchor it towards the bottom as well.

Thank you so much! I've heard of them and have actually seen Anacharis in stores! Will be checking out today.

And update! One of my pregnant Platys (Light orange one in my pictures above) actually gave birth a couple of hours ago (around 4-5 AM) and is still giving birth! Oh my, I'm seeing 30+ right now, all alive and well. I actually noticed my Platy leaking a darkish brown, possibly red color while pooping, which concerned me (tried looking online but found no articles), so I separated her into a 4 Gallon Tupperware (I have a spare 10 Gallon tank, but it is not ready/cycled yet) to monitor what's going on, but next thing you know she went into one of the log decors I put in and gave birth like crazy lol. I have also separated the first 30+ fry when I first put her in the 4 Gallon Tupperware, the rest that are being born will have to keep them selves hidden for now. (I have noticed for about 20 minutes into giving birth, that she hasn't eaten any of the fry, even the ones swimming next to her face, so crossing fingers the ones in the same Tupperware with her remains uneaten)

She won't start trying to eat them until after birth is over, females go into a state during birth that puts all their energy into giving birth.

Java moss is my go-to for fry. I let it grow over all of the driftwood in my breeding tanks so the fry can hide in it.
