Pregnant fishies platy's everywhere

Currently have 8 pregnant platy's, 3 of which will pop any minute. 2 of the pregnant ones are blue mickey mouse platy's, 2 are neon green platy's (which have been trying to get forever since someone posted about the green neon's, to my great surprise had them at my local pet store), 1 is red wag tail platy, 1 is unknown type which I call USA platy (red, white, and blue), 2 are gold calico's (gold, white, and black). I forgot about my constant impatience since the last one gave birth. I can't take my eyes off of tank and just want to squeeze them to make the babies come out already! (kidding of course, but awfully tempting ;D

Do you have them all in the same tank? Just wondering if you will try to keep the varieties seperate?

By now you should have fry, how are they doing?

they'll usually start eating around a few days after being dropped. sometimes sooner. the ideal thing is a grow-out tank with a sponge filter and submersible heater, but they like crushed food at first.. powder really.

That will be a lot of platies. Do you have a picture of the red, white and blue platy? I don't think there's enough fish with blue on them.

Platys are very prolific breeders. It proably will happen again. I had 4 different fish pop on the same day.
