I am planning on a fluval evo 13.5 with a few zoas, duncans, and candy canes and was curious about the flow rates
I think the built in pump is enough for the candy canes out of direct flow but i'm not sure about the duncans and zoas, what is a circulation pump you would recommend for a tank this size? And where should it be placed?

There’s not really many options low enough for a tank so small that I can think of. I don’t have Duncan’s but my zoas seem quite happy and they’re just hit with what I’d call secondary flow from after the waters “bounced” off the far wall

They make controllers for the 12 volt ones. Basically a potentiometer or reastate.

They make plenty of small return pumps.
I like these pumps and you can see there are a huge variety of gph flow rates.
