Power heads for 55 gallon tank

HI all,

I have a 55 gallon tank with:
2 angel fish,
2 electric blue acaras,
6 yoyo loaches,
7 serpae tetras,
1 pleco
1 goby
1 female betta.

The tank is planted, has some rocks and a terracotta clay pot.
It also has a decorative ledge.

My tank also has two aquaclear 70 HOB filters.

There are some dead spots in my tank where food settles and I was looking into powerheads.

Should I get the most powerful powerhead I can fit in there?
Or should a pair of weaker powerheads and aI'm them at the dead spots?

I will post pictures when I get home to fully show my dilemma.

Thanks

The 2 Aquaclear's should provide a lot of water movement. If you want more one small powerhead should be enough.

if u want get a small eheim or otto internal and fill it with polishing wool for crystal clear water too. I think u have ample filtration tho

Here are the dead zones:

And full tank shot for context :

You still think just one powerhead?

I was thinking two. One under the ledge and one pointing at the rocks.

be aware some fish may not like having to fight against a strong current. in this case maybe 2 low lph powerheads pointed at the spots u want to focus on could work well as aposed to 1 powerful one that could create too much current.
tank looks great btw. I love acaras

I still think one ph is enough, probably not even necessary, Just cause don't see water movement doesn't mean it's not there. You could prove it with a harmless dye, you would see it move even in the 'dead spots'. Also the water from the ph will hit the glass and bounce to other areas.

Great looking tank by the way.

How did you set that tank up I just bought a 55 gallon because petco had its dollar per gallon. XD so yeah. I am not really sure what to do yet. But I would love to set it up somewhat like yours. any tips

I used gravel which in retrospect, I would have changed.
I settled on low light planted because I do not like to do a lot of maintenance. Water changes and weekly cleaning are a big enough chore as is.
My lighting is CurrentUSA Satellite.

I then got the ledge and fake log from Petco.
The plants and fish are from two different LFS. The rocks are slate and something else that I forgot from LFS.
Driftwood is also from LFS.

I used a lot of water, plants and filter media from an old tank as well as the Fluval bacteria to do a fish-in cycle. It only took 3 days.
Unfortunately, some of the fish died, mainly the corys and 2 guppies.

I have two aquaclear 70 HOB filters going and they do the business.
I also have an air-line with air stones since I get dead zones due to the decorations and plants.

Everyone in the tank seems happy and healthy and that makes me happy.
