Potassium Permanganate Or Methylene Blue Baths For New Fishes And Plants?

HI which would be better to use as a bath for new fishes and plants, potassium permanganate or methylene blue? I'm trying to ensure both have no parasites (for fishes at least externally). I don't mind maybe doing a meth blue bath for the fishes and potassium permanganate for the plants or vice versa, depending on whichever is better for which.

Also at what concentration/dosage should I do these baths at?

 

Methylene Blue, 1 drop of liquid methylene blue / 1 teaspoon of powdered mixture per 10 gallons of water.

 

Methylene blue is for fish and the potassium permeanganate is for plants.

 

I agree that MB is for fish and PP for plants but MB used in a QT/bath to establish a fish being 'clean' will not be effective.
PP would disinfect both properly but you need to know how to use PP.
It seems to be much less commonly used today except by old timers like me .

Use ich-x. Works on more than just ich, it’s multI purpose! Love the stuff.
