Posting Thread Auto Save Message

Hi,
I notice that as I'm typing to post a thread a message shows up in bottom right hand corner (it just did it) that says "auto saved." Where is it being auto saved? I spent some time providing details about a situation I needed help with and I was just about finished and my computer sends a message that Internet Explorer is not responding and asks do I want to recover page. When I clicked yes the only thing that saved was my title. Is there anyway I can retrieve what I lost so I don't have to spend time I already spent on posting a thread. It was my computer that had the glitch and I am so hoping you can tell me that the thread I started is out there somewhere x

The best solution would be use any other internet browser than Internet Explorer

Serious now, there should be a little button that says something like "recover saved data" or something like that in the bottom left corner.

 

Hate it when that happens

In the lower leftt corner of the text entry box, there should be a "Restore Saved" or words to that effect. Click on the button and you should find your text re-appears.

I'm not sure if it'll work now that you've moved on though

Thanks for your responses! Yeah, I didn't catch it in time. Actually, the message is fishlore is not responding. Do you ever get that?

In all seriousness, get a different web browser.

Firefox freezes on me sometimes but it's still not as terrible as IE. Google Chrome doesn't have many freezing/"not responding" problems, I've heard. I want to download it but am too lazy.

 

Chrome is my browser of choice, Firefox a close second. I don't use IE unless I have to do browser testing.

 

I prefer chrome as well. It's simple looking, has lots of features if you wish to use them, and it just works.

I really liked chrome on my windows machine when I was using it regularly, now I'm in SafarI and have had no issues at all.

 

Same thing happened to me, but I can't find a recover saved data thingy, where is it? step by step.
