Just bought 2 angels 1 seems disoriented and I’m able to scoop him up with my hands he doesn’t dart off like the other one I got and he just sits at the top of the tank I just got these guys but he could be a defect because at petsmart they had 2 dead angels in their quarantine tank from same shipment

It's always a toss up when adding new fish to your tank. Any fish coming from a store can be in questionable health, whether its a small shop or a chain store.

Any other behaviors or symptoms making you think its sick? My angels are pretty out going and i believe I could catch them by hand if I wanted. But this is after having them over a month, not from day one.

He just seems very stunned and spaced out he’s hiding under my filter right now and will float up letting him get stuck under it just sitting there while the other one is noticeably active and upright

Also he always points straight up and doesn’t move if anything tried to nudge him

He does look a little off and almost like he has clamped fins like it's stressed. At this point I guess just make sure you can provide the best environment for the fish and monitor and see if anything improves. If it's stress related it should get better sooner then later.

Hopefully things start looking up in the morning.
