Possible Second Batch of Fry

Mama Camarillo Brillo, platy, looks like she's bursting at the seams. I transferred her to the breeding net last night. I can finally see what you guys mean when you say "squaring off". Her whole belly is cube-shaped and looks like someone's pulled a plug, near her analfin. I can also, finally, see little black dots. There are quite a few this time! and I'm hoping for a little success.

Here's a picture of Mama, in her net: (Its not the greatest pict, but you get the idea...)

Immediately after she stops dropping, or she will start munching on them.

keep an eye out for more fry as they often drop some more. if you can remove the babies to another breeding net or tank of their own & leave mama in her net it'll give them the best chance.

Mama was removed @ ~2PM yesterday. She started looking like her old self again, so I took her out. She rested for a bit in the plants but is back swiming with the rest now. I think she's glad to be normal again! Man, was she HUNGRY!!!

Here are some pics of the fry:

Adorable grats on the Fry! So she ended up with about 30 or so? Keep us updated on mom, my platy gave birth to 69 live fry and died two weeks later despite seeming to be perfectly fine and stress free. (ich outbreak may have led to her demise).

Will do! I'm so sorry to hear of your misfortune. It is so sad to lose babies, especially since they are so difficult to trap. They are just so much fun!

The babies are all fine, was the mother that died, in separate tank.
