Possible Ich on Betta

Here is the necessary information -

I think my betta has ich. He has two salt grain like white spots on the left side of his body. He had a couple the other day, but they were fuzzy and not salt grain like. After turning the water temp up, the fuzzies fell off and I changed the water. Now, he has the grain like spots on him. His behavior hasn't changed at all. He still eats and I change and top off the water twice a week. I can include a picture if he sits still for long enough.

Ammonia - 0
Nirtrites - 0
Nitrate - 5

Does this sound like ich? How do I go about treating him? I also have a mystery snail and live plants in my 5 gallon tank as well, so how do I do this without killing my snail with salt treatments?

Ich-x is what i would suggest if it is indeed ich. Claims to be safe for invertebrates at least.

Here’s a pic, the spots are near his head!

I’ll look into that! Hopefully that clears it up.

Can't say for sure, certainly looks possible. How is the fish acting/eating?

Perfectly normal. No lethargy, still comes to beg for food and eats heartily.

May be in the clear....if you don't have a store around that carries it, i would order some ich-x anyway, it is one of the few meds even I keep on hand! Just because ick can be QUICK. Also, ich-x claims to work as an anti-fungal as well.

Got it. I can pick some up from my LFS on the way back from work tomorrow. Are there any red flags I should look out for so I know when to start dosing if need be?

More white spots for one. Lethargy is often another.
