Possible 2nd Tank - Oh dear

So I kind of went to the garage and pulled out my old 25 Gal tank with a view to use it to grow and quarantine plants for my main tank.

However... it so turns out I had a spare filter and would you believe it a heater too, what are the odds of that!

So I filled it up just to looksie and popped the filter and heater in (it just happened) then took some trimmings from the main tank.

Oh I had some spare ornaments too so kinda threw them in also.

Now I am sat looking at it thinking do I go and get some substrate some drift wood and start a fishless cycle off with a view to maybe, just maybe putting fish in it eventually?

This is how it starts isn't it?

More I look at it, the more I think why not... thinking of a Tetra tank.

Tomorrow I may or may not go and get some more plants, substrate. Remove the ornaments (they were spare) and scape the thing.

Do a full fishless cycle for ages until I am happy the plants have taken off.

Oh bugger, yep convinced myself haha

That's how I went from (1) 75 gallon tank to (1) 75 and (1) 55. Wife was tired of looking at the empty 55 which I had supposedly sold (buyer backed out) and decided it was hers.

8 more tanks later.....

So got some cheap small size gravel to cover the bottom, added some VALS and Staurogyne Repens plants (no idea on the Repens, they looked nice). Have some Frog Bit at the top.

Going to add some Java Fern next week then leave it alone for a few months for the plants to grow.

Once the plants (hopefully take off) willing to be patient, then I'll think about adding some variety of Tetra... maybe... still undecided. What would you put in a 25 Gal (ish) planted tank?

Just gonna let the tank do its thing now for a few months.

I'm currently growing out (3) angelfish we raised from eggs, (4) venezeulan red cories, and (2) blue red-spot peacocks in a 29. I have (3) emeralds and a super red bn to round out the tank. They're all on the small side right now so it's not over populated....yet. Some will be moving into a 40 breeder probably next month....when I buy that :D

Where is the fun in that? :D

Kinda like putting a bowl of sweets (candy) in front of a child and saying "do not touch" haha

I won't mention the Tetra AquaArt explorer 60l (Oval front style tank) that I got from a friend clearing out his house today but that one is deffo for next year, got it for free so kinda happy with that.

Wowza... your inner restraint is apt for today (May the 4th be with you)... you have the restraint of a jedi my friend. Don't think my new found obsession of aquariums I could keep all that not used for aquascapes and fishes lol.

Restraint? What is this "restraint"?

The only restraint I have is I'm running out of spots to put tanks :)
