Poop Question

I have never seen any of my bettas poop in the few weeks I have had them. Is this normal or am I not feeding them enough? I’m so use to goldies with strings hanging off. I am feeding my bettas twice a day, a few pellets at a time or several bloodworms at a feeding. Is it just their small bio-load?

They are the ninjas of pooping. You never see them do it but it's there. Their fine! Unless they look bloated

I've had several for months (one for over a year), and I honestly don't think I have ever caught them in the act of pooping. I think it's just because of how little they eat. They're the polar opposite of goldfish!

i've only seen a few poops from my little boy (had him for 2 weeks so far) but BOY are they massive! I was tempted to make a thread comparing everyone's betta's poop sizes because I think mine would win.

I don't think bettas do the string thing unless they're sick. my betta's poop is a giant brown blob. inspect your substrate and decor.

My bettas are sneaky poopers. I only see it in the gravel if my siphon accidentally stirs up the water. One of my bettas poop giant blobs of poop the size of a pea. I'll see poop hanging from them sometimes though.

I never see them poop, but I see the evidence on the sand. They're huge! O.O

Out of my 9 bettas I maybe see them poop or find poop like 2 or 3 times a month? they do have small bio loads compared to your goldfish! Total normal question for a first time with a betta.

I had the same concern that my betta hadn't pooped yet, and then 15 minutes later I saw.. the biggest dookie... ever.......

if your betta is not pooping feed live brine shrimp dipped in garlic juice for two weeks and bettas only have small poops

It’s always been a concern, but they just decide to do it when nobody is watching, or when they hide.
If they aren’t bloated, and eating normally, nothing is wrong with them.
It’s a good idea to fast them once or twice per week.

MY Bettas do not poop but if they did it would smell like roses.
