Pogostemon helferi

I'm thinking of getting some Pogostemon helferi to finish my plants in my tank.

I have ordered DIY CO2 equipment as well.

Should I wait until the CO2 is up and running to plant the P. helferi? Or will it be fine without CO2 for a month or so?

Obviously, all (most) plants do better with CO2, so that's not the question. The question is whether this plant will be fine without it for 3-6 weeks.

In case you don't want to check my profile (or if it's not accurate)

    Current plants:
    water sprite
    marimo moss balls
    temple plant
    anacharis
    java fern
miscellaneous swords (not sure what they are and they are too small to ID)

    Lighting:
    2 × 22" 24 watt T5HO 6500K, 9 hours on, 4-3-5 light cycle
lights suspended ~4" above water level
water about 14" deep to sand bed

    pH: 8.1
    KH: 5.5
    GH: 13
    temp: 76-79
nitrogen: 0/0/5 (last time I checked - usually 0/0/10 but maybe the new plants are keeping nitrates down, I'll check again tomorrow)

Sand substrate (not a fortified plant substrate)
I also have Flourish Comprehensive and am starting to dose more as my plants continue out-compete the algae

I'd wait until you get CO2. No use wasting money on plants that will die when you can wait a few weeks.
