See, I have a betta fish which I bought about a month ago. She's doing fine.. she's active and eats readily... I used to feed her live tubifex worms.

But just today, I ran out of worms. I went to the nearest store and found out that the store will remain closed for 5-6 days..!
Now, my questions are as follows:
1) what should I give her to eat??
One of my friends also has a betta and he gives his betta small pieces of boiled chicken. Is it okay to give your betta chicken (boiled)?
2) Also, I saw my betta's eggspot. So I know that it's a female... But she makes a lot of bubble nests too. What's the matter?
I hope to get my doubts cleares.
Thanks in advance.
*Sorry if my inglis sucks*

1. why not just give her some pellets for the time being? or maybe some blood worms/brineshrimp that are frozen? I've never tried chicken so can't say much on that.
2. Some females just do, no real reason for it.

Hello!

1) you are actually fine not feeding her for 5-6 days; most people comfortably go on vacation for a week or longer without feeding and have no ill-effects occur. BUT, if you wanted to feed her a small piece on the third day, it will be fine, but because it’s not part of their natural diet, and with so many hormones and things injected in poultry nowadays, you don’t want to largely disrupt with bodies.

2) and some young males or males in general can show eggspots; can you get a pic of your Betta? But some females can blow bubbles as well

I would start giving blood worms. Live tubifex worms can transmit a couple really nasty diseases.

I wouldn't think chicken would be a good food for fish.

Fish eat small invertebrates in the wild. We can also feed frozen invertebrates that are farmed.

Bloodworms , flakes or pellets are a good substitution for the tubifex worms ( small wingless fruitflies are good too )
You're betta looks awesome !
