Pleco In Hex Tank

Are Plecos and hex tanks a good fit, providing the size is right?

 

They do best with a bigger footprint.

A young (1.5") pleco in 40 gal. established tank.

 

That should be ok. What kind of pleco is it though?

 

Most Plecos get really big. A 1.5 inch will not remain that small for long. There are only about 2-3 types of pleco that don't grow huge eventually.

 

Sorry... Clown. As I consider size, probably closer to 1"

 

Yeah a clown should be fine in a 40 gallon hex
