Pleco ID help

jeremyclarkson

Hello,
I got a pleco from my LFS today. It's about 3-4 inches long. It was labeled as a bristlenose pleco, but now I'm starting to have my doubts since it lacks any spots or bristles. If more pictures are needed I'll try to get some asap.

Looks like a female BN pleco to me based off of fin and body shape, the females do not get hardly any bristles and if they do then it's just a few on the edge of their lip.

It has bristles on the tip of its nose?

I'd make sure to worm it as it looks very skinny, definitely a bristlenose, however I will say it is a sub-dominant male rather than a female. Get it eating well and it should do just fine.
