Pleco has ick?

HI guys!

I have a Pleco named Sampson who is a sweetheart, but for some reason I noticed today he has some flakes on his body. I attached some pictures below. It just...appeared! I went to Walmart, returned, and it was there on his body, though I did not see the flakes this morning. He shares the tank with my turtle, Little Foot, though Little Foot and him live together just fine, no problems ever so I doubt it's caused by my turtle. I did do a water change the day before yesterday and was going to do one tomorrow and clean my filter this weekend. I just bought a new filter about 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure if that's the cause. If you guys can help me that would be great!

Looks like it could be ich. When you changed filter did you move media to new filter? Could be water parameters that caused the outbreak.
To treat ich I'd advise to turn heat up a couple degrees every couple of hours so that you reach 86°. This will shorten the life span. I would then by ich-x or kordon rid ich plus. Both have malachite green and formalin which are great at killing ich. Follow instructions until spots are gone and then treat a few more times.

 

I didnt move the old media because none of the old media were compatible for the new one. However, he was fine up till now. He ate fine, his behavior did not change. Yesterday, the ich seemingly disappeared, but today it's on his body again. Unfortunately, since it's Christmas, everything is closed. My heater goes up to 88 and currently, I have it maxed out, but the water is still 75. I'm not sure what to do.
