Pleco Broken Fin Help

My albino longfin pleco managed to wiggle itself into a small hole in a piece of dragon stone. After waiting a few hours to see if it could get out I was forced to yank him out. It appears when he put himself into this hole his left fin opened up and that's what got him stuck. Now when yanking him out the fin broke and other then that his skin is a bit irritated but no other damage. I have him floating in a breeder box. What should I do for treatment or should I put it out of its misery? Thank you.

The only medications I have on hand until tomorrow are paragard, stress gaurd, apI stress coat, herbtana, and metroplex.

I once had a bristlenose with a broken fin. It wasn't as much as yours but it was about half of the bone. I just changed the water a lot and fed spinach and kale for calcium. The bone grew back in a few weeks. You don't need to keep him in the breeder box.

Fresh clean water only. Stress coat will help a bit.

I had a BN that had his left fin rot to a stub before I got it under control. It grew back within a month and he's doing grreat now.

I let her go. She went to her cave under the drift wood, hope she makes it

On a side note. My tank doesn't stink, my fish tank room doesn't stink, when I removed the piece of dragonstone to extract my friend I couldn't believe how bad the smell was.... is it the fish or the stone?

Why would you kill it? I highly doubt you need go kill it because of that!! It will grow back. I'm sorry I am against killing animals before even trying to save them. Too cruel in my opinion. Give it time and follow what the people here tells you, they know a lot!

I think he/she meant they let it go from the Breeder box.
