I have no idea what I purchased this as. I asked the clerk at a pet store if they had floating plant when I got a gouramI and he said use this. It's been thriving in my 55 gal for almost 4 months.

I just removed it quick to ask my question.

Yep, anacharis. Can float, but can also be planted.

I like mine floating. I keep it tucked behind some wood and it grows in a big area at the top of the tank. A word of caution... if you ever plan to try Excel that plant will melt.

If you have some gravel, I think it'll look very nice, with each stalk planted idividually to make a "wall" in the background. Make sure you keep your pair of scissors nearby, I started out with a few bunches of anacharis and I now have to cut twice a week!
