Please Help:(

I just rescued this guy today I had seen him in the piranha tank and it always layed at the bottom hiding I brought him home and acclimated him the put him in the tank he is still not at all active and I think blond because he does not get scared or run when he sees the net his eyes have a white layer on them please help me I want to save him.

I feel very bad. I don't want to loose him. poor fish :'(. I will see to water changes. anything else that I can do for him? his eyes are blurry white is this some sort of fungus or wound? I don't know if he has eaten or not . he won't swim up to get food for himself what to do.

 

he is also beaten up by them bad. I have him in the 10 gallon right now.

well I was sold him as a gourami but when I posted here I found out that it is jewel cichlid. his fins are nipped he looks stressed and those white layers on his eyes he is breathing fine but not moving much I get scared that he is dead but when take him in the net he moves so I release him back into the tank.please help me I want him to live and be the part of my tank. he was in a tank with more than 17 piranhas

 

I could not get help amd he passed away.... :'( poor fish he was bullied badly and was stressed.
