Please Help With New Platys

I bought four new platys a couple days ago and today I found a fry, I only found one and it unfortunately died, I bought a separator to put the pregnant fish in, in case she had any more but there have been no more births, the smallest, thinnest female is chasing the male around, hiding and not eating but she's got no stomach, she's pooping white long strings which I've read is bad but they're all doing that and now they're all acting the same and pooping the same, I'm worried I frightened them when I scooped them out to see if I could see the markings of pregnant fish/labour.

I'm so confused, I found a fry, just one, and it was alive but I had to go to the hospital and when I came back it was dead, and now I can't find anymore and all of the fish besides the male are acting strange?

Please help

What size tank? What are parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates)? Other fish?
Platy will eat their fry if they can find them.
After birth my male always chase the females

It's a 55 litre 40×40 tank, everything is normal according to petsathome who tested the water and no other fish, just those four

If u can buy an apI test kit I would asap. Keep track daily. If you haven't please read about aquarium nitrogen cycle. seachem Prime is good to use during cycle of you have fish already. I'm still somewhat new (4 month old tank) so I'm not the best at explaining.

I'll try to get to petsathome as soon as possible, I've had my tank for three days so I really don't know what I'm doing yet honestly, I bought everything they recommended

Sometimes pet stores and fish store mean good but they don't always give good or correct advice. Ammonia and nitrite are toxic to fish.
Prime detoxifies them in small quantities to get rid of them while your tank builds its bacteria powerhouse you'll have to do water changes around 50% often.
After you're cycled you only need to change between 25%-50% once a week.
Always use water conditioner to get rid of chlorine. Prime does this also.
Don't change the filter material as often as they say to. That's where your good batericas live and detoxify all your fish waste. If you need to every replace filter materials cut away and keep as much of the old as possible and stuff that around the new material for about a month or so to seed (put baterica) on to the new material.
Sorry if I'm confusing.
But the baterica in your filter is what basically eats your fish waste and you need them to keep the water healthy.

I use pets at home often and got them to test my water. They said it was fine and I ended up with dead fish... turns out they use the test strips which are really inaccurate, so I got the API freshwater test kit which seems much more so.
