Please Help My Yellow Lab Cichlid Is Carrying Babies

I've never had a pregnant fish or a fish carrying baby fish, what do I do and how long have I got til she releases them? Need step by step please before and after

 

If you have a planted tank with live or not, don't worry. If you don't you could either make it planted or get a large breeder box. Don't get a small one because you want as much space as possible. In my opinion you should just wait for your mother to drop the fry then scoop em up as you see em. Once you scoop them up put them in the breeder box. To feed them just smush/grind the mothers food and feed the fry that. Once the fry get bigger than the mouth of them mom you can let them out of the breeder box and just care for them like any other fish.

 

Hi, the Op’s fish isn’t a livebearer, I believe it’s a MalawI cichlid.

Are you prepared to house the babies until they get large enough to go back with the adults? They need to be at least an inch long to avoid getting eaten as much as possible.
Once she releases them they become a target for everyone in the tank. If you are not prepared to raise them with very small foods (live food is preferred because the babies will actively go after them, most times egg bearer fry do not go after nonlive food), I would just let nature takes it course and you might have some survive in their current tank.
This is likely going to be your best course of action because the fry will have to have their own grow out tank if you are wishing to raise them.
