HI I've got two new fish I just bought from an aquarium, they are pearlscale goldfish, it all started on the female with blood patches showing on her tail, I tried a few water changes thinking it might be the ammonia level or something, but now the other pearlscale has the same thing but also a big red sore with little dots on it.

Also I noticed on their fins they had something similar to the fish I lost prior it's like a white line but with little bubbles or dots on it,I tried to show it in the photo but you can't see it.

Also on her mouth area I noticed a black stick like object floating at the top of her mouth but inside her skin please help. Also the larger pearlscales gills look really swollen I think he might have gills flukes please help

Do you know your water parameters? I think the red spot might me an ulcer and the bloody fins could be septicemia. Both can be caused by high ammonia levels and bad water conditions will make it worse.

Welcome to Fishlore.

If they're newly-transitioned they're likely stressed and if you're holding them still to take pictures that will add to their stress levels. I'd not do that.

If you'll supply the following info I'm sure folks will be happy to try and help:

Lastly, a reminder to ensure your hands are clean and free of chemicals before reaching in the tank, and always wash them well with soap afterward.

They're scratching against the walls a little
The parameters are perfect I've got a proper test kit
It's a 55ltr tank
I have a heater and a proper cartridge filter with carbon, mechanical filter, etc
I use prime conditioner

I thought it was septicemia when I saw it. If it's ammonia what can I do to fix that other than a few frequent water changes?
How much water do change?

I'd recommend 50% water changes daily until the ammonia is down to 0 or at least close. If you don't have a text kit, you definitely need to go get one ASAP.

Using your test kit, can you specify your water parameters before and after your water change: ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, and temp. You also didn't mention if your tank was cycled.

People will help assess the symptoms but they first want to know the water conditions because bad parameters will cause illness.

(You should test your tap water too, just so you know what you're working with. One test right from the tap, one test after letting the water sit out in a cup for two days.)

I believe you'll have problems with two fancy goldfish in a 15 gallon. I can't really advise as I don't have goldfish but there are lots of friendly, knowledgeable folks here if you want to discuss your stocking issue.

The general rule of fancy goldfish is 20 gallons for a first fish and 10 for every additional fish, so, yes, they do need a bigger tank. That could be contributing to your problem because toxins will build up very quickly in a small tank and could eventually stunt their growth and make even more problems. Good luck, and I hope your fish get better.
