Please help !! My crayfish is acting different !!

Okay so I have had my electric blue crayfish for about 2 1/2 months now and he was doing so wonderful in the bigger 20 gallon with the neon lights and the glo fish BUT he starting growing ( molted 5 times ) no trouble with molting so far either and started eating my glo fish and a couple guppies as well SO I moved him to another 20 gallon by himself and now all he does is hide he barely comes out and he was eating for the first week now he won’t eat or come out! I tried putting a school of neon tetras in there to coax him out with movement of fish and that did nothing I haven’t seen a molt in the new tank but he has been climbing to the top of the squid ward house where I can’t see him perhaps he molted up there and I didn’t see it ? Water too cold ? Somebody please help ?

 

How old is the new tank is it cycled
If he's climbing a lot it sounds like he's trying to escape, this happens when there's something wrong with the tank which he dosnt like so they try to find new water

 

Not trying to escape he was just hiding out for a few days I’m gonna guess he molted in secret. He is out now walking around eating normally tonight thank god I was so scared

As they get older the time taken to moult will increase, he may hide for 4/5 days before the moult then hide for a further 2 days while the shell hardens he will then come out and eat the moulted shell.
The ti.e between moults will also increase to 3 months+
Make sure he as 3 or 4 hiding places or he will get very stressed
