Please help ich in my tank

I have a 20 gallon tank with a bristlenose albino pleco some ember tetras and about 6 ghost shrimp and 3 mystery snails. Recently I noticed my fish developed ich and they developed a small amount of white spots a couple days ago. I tried to order ich-x but it’s taking forever to get delivered and I don’t want it to progress any further so I’ve been thinking about raising the temperature.
Is there any inhabitants in my tank that wouldn’t be able to handle about 86 degrees f for a week or so until the ich is gone? Any other helpful tips to get rid of the ich in the mean time or suggestions?

 

I don't know about 86 for sure, but sounds like the livestock should be able to handle an increase, just make sure to do it only 1 or 2 degrees at a time.

Also pro tip for the future: ich-x is a med i ALWAYS make sure to have on hand at all times. Or some other ich med. Even if i have to toss it out unused because of expiration dates.

 

I always use Ich X for moderate-severe cases but for milder cases or in your case until the medicine arrives try rasing the temp and adding some aqarium salt to the water

Oh yeah I’ve been putting in salt like mad (of course not too much)

Do you happen to know if ich-x is safe with plants? My whole tank is planted and everywhere says it’s fine with plants but I just want to make sure.

 

I think it is. Safer than the salt is for sure
