I’ve had my betta for around 2 weeks now and it looks like his fins are thinning. I’m worried and I did purchase some aquarium salt to fix his fins if it is fin rot. Need some opinions!

The key to fixing fin rot is clean water. Most of the time that's all you need to clear it up. 25% daily water changes should do it. The first thing I notice is that your tank isn't cycled. You cannot cycle a tank in just a week. Another thing I noticed it that you don't test your water except for the pH strips. Without testing the other water parameters you won't be able to know when it could become toxic for your fish or if your tank is even cycled. Test strips aren't the most accurate, so I suggest you invest in a liquid test kit.

So will the bettafix and aquarium salt heal him? I did a water change today. So would doing water changes daily help him without the salt or betta fix?
