Greetings,
The problem is with my ghost crayfish.
I got a crayfish 2 days back. It was the most active one in the tank at the shop it was an adult one. I kept it in the plastic bag from the shop the fist day and a plastic container after that, the delay was to ensure the cycling was complete. It was very active and eat the crayfish pellets and even some bits of aquarium plant cutting while it was in the plastic bag. When I transferred it to the container, it was really active and looking for ways to escape. Then, on the evening on the second day it fell for from the container through air pump pipe and I suppose, landed okay in a betta tank kept under. Today, when I woke up and fed it pellets, it didn’t respond. Then I tried to feed him cabbage and carrots, but all in vain. Then after 3 or so hours, it became very weak. It was lying on one side and only its antennas and one side legs were moving. Scared, I transferred it to the aquarium that competed cycling successfully. It moved around weakly and is currently in a weak position on the side of the filter. I don’t know what is wrong. There is no copper content. What caused the a healthy crayfish to become so weak in a matter of hours?
Any response from your side would be of a million help. I can’t possibly afford to lose him as it is after two years of waiting that in my country bahrain, I finally found a store that has a few crayfish.
I sincerely hope that you can solve this problem
