Please Help! Betta Fish Choking?

This morning when I woke up and looked at my betta tank his mouth was outstretched like a yawn. His mouth never went back so I kept watching and it looks like there is something in his throat. I have no idea what it could be, the only thing I could think of was a tiny piece of Fluval Stratum? I've watched him breathe, but he couldn't eat with that in his mouth. He keeps trying to cough it out but it's stuck. Is there any way I could help him? I will post a picture. (Also, should I fill out the emergency template?) Thanks!
Sorry for the bad quality. I was trying to get as close as possible.

If he was chocking he wouldn’t have made it this far. He might have dislocated his jaw. Something Weird Is happening today I’ve seen 3 posts with this same problem.

Okay... so nothing I can help? I don't want him to have to sit there in pain. He was swimming around but now he is just sitting on his plant where he sleeps at night.

Oh no! Is it still like that? Could you gently remove him from his tank, maybe get a closer look? I would have to take him out and see if whatever is stuck in his mouth could be removed with tweezers! Poor little guy ....

My dad was able to remove whatever it was. It kinda freaked me out because it was a small black plastic-looking thing. I'm still worried though because he is still just sitting there (not like himself) and his mouth looks kinda off. I'm going to keep checking on him every so often to see what he does.

He's probably just stressed from his little procedure. He should be okay! Keep us updated!

Your Dad saved the day! If your Betta had plastic lodged in his mouth he was in serious trouble.

Sorry about the update! Somehow I completely forgot to reply. He is 100% better now. Eating swimming, napping, playing, and doing his own fishy things just like he used to. Thank you all so much for your help!!!
