Please help!! Betta eye bulging

My Betta has been acting very lethargic lately and had a big lump on his forehead. This morning the bump went down but then there was a white dot. I checked on him again a few hours later and I was shocked to see that his eye was bulging out of his head. I think that it is popeye but I am not sure. What should I do?? Should I isolate him? Please help!!

I'm not 100% as I don't keep a betta but many members do but it looks like popeye to me and he should be quaranined.

That does look like popeye. The bump that turned into a dot could have been some kind of infection? that may have caused the popeye, but that's just a guess.

Here is a page from this forum that includes symptoms, causes and treatment:
Fish Pop-Eye Disease

I hope this can be of some help

I would do some large water changes frequently to start. Maybe a salt dip. Could also do epsoms salt in the tank.

Could do a quick Google search to see if there’s any meds to use, But if I recall from my research back in the day water changes and salt were good options.

Also research salt dips and Epsom salts before use to ensure you’re doing it correctly.

Because he is in a tank with other fish should I quarantine him??

Yes quarantine him on his own because any illness to fish can be stressing and then it throws of signals to your healthy fish besides any germs.

I am surprised no one has asked yet - what are your parameters?

Isolation, large water changes, and possibly epsom salt baths are a good start.
