Can I put 2 platys and a school of tetras in a 10 gallon tank?

Please don't. Hard water for platies, soft for tetras. Find out how hard or soft your water is, then go with the kind of fish that will thrive in it. You will avoid so much stress that way ;)

Instead put the platies and mollies or swordtails. You could also do 3 different platies that would look cool

    dont overstock though!

Just a heads up, mollies are not suitable fish for a ten gallon tank.

Also sword tails should not be in a 10 gallon.:)
